Methodical and analytical thinking as will as practical and logical reasoning skills
Problem solving skills with a creative approach
Skill related to mathematics and financial management
Concise writing skills to produce reports on complex information * Thorough knowledge and understanding of building and construction codes, regulations, etc
have enough hands on, work experience
 Formal education is important, but being able to demonstrate that you have a relevant understanding of building and construction can go a long way
